The Suunto Run 2 is a lightweight GPS running watch.
At 35g, the watch body sits close enough to the wrist that you stop registering it — through long runs, through sleep, through the rest of the day. A stainless steel bezel, Gorilla Glass, and 5 ATM water resistance keep it ready for all of it, so training, recovery, and sleep arrive as one complete picture instead of a partial one.
With a battery life of up to 10 days in daily/smartwatch mode and up to 24 hours in high-accuracy dual-band GPS mode, charging the Suunto Run 2 fits around you.
The screen is 1.32 Inch LTPS AMOLED with a brightness of 2,000 NITS a significant increase from the previous Suunto Run model. This means pace, heart rate, and distance stay readable in direct sun, so checking a number costs a look rather than a break in rhythm.
New-Generation Navigation is achieved via upgrades to dual-band L1 + L5 positioning across GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS. Distance, pace, and the track you record sit closer to the route you actually ran, which is what makes the numbers worth executing a training or race plan on.
The Suunto Run 2 has an upgraded Heart Rate, with a 12-channel sensor behind 2.5D curved glass gathering more signal at the wrist, so heart rate keeps up with hard intervals, surges, and long efforts in the heat. The effort you feel and the effort Suunto Run 2 reports stay in step, which is what makes it worth training by.
